Licenses and attributions for third-party software used in the ResC4EU B2B platform
Third-Party Service
Provider: SaltyTaro (Arcnautical), Maritime Logistics Intelligence
The Arcnautical maritime routing service provides optimized ocean pathfinding between global ports using A* pathfinding on a 0.05° resolution oceanographic bitmap. The platform integrates Arcnautical's routing computations for maritime segments of multimodal supply chains, enabling realistic ocean route calculation with automatic chokepoint waypoint injection (Suez, Panama, Malacca, Bosphorus, and 44+ other strategic routes).
Arcnautical returns GeoJSON LineString geometries representing optimal maritime routes, along with computed distance (nm), estimated transit time, and port information from its 510+ UN/LOCODE port database. The platform stores maritime route geometry, source attribution, and recalculates Global Warming Potential (GWP) using the computed distance and vessel fuel specifications.
Arcnautical retains all intellectual property rights to its routing algorithms, port database, and maritime intelligence data. GreenTwin GmbH does not claim ownership of Arcnautical services or maritime data, and uses the service under applicable terms of use.

Provider: Institute of Shipping Economics and Logistics (ISL), Bremen, Germany
The ISL risk alert service is proprietary to ISL and is used under a service agreement as part of the ResC4EU (Resilient and Sustainable Circular Supply Chains for Europe) project. The ResC4EU Platform transmits geoJSON data about selected routes to ISL for processing and receives risk alerts.
ISL retains all intellectual property rights to the risk alert service, and API infrastructure. GreenTwin GmbH does not claim ownership of any third-party services or models.

Provider: Institute of Shipping Economics and Logistics (ISL), Bremen, Germany
The ISL supply chain resilience score algorithms are proprietary to ISL and are used under a service agreement as part of the ResC4EU (Resilient and Sustainable Circular Supply Chains for Europe) project. The ResC4EU Platform transmits anonymized assessment data to ISL for processing and receives calculated resilience scores.
ISL retains all intellectual property rights to their scoring algorithms, calculation methodologies, and API infrastructure. GreenTwin GmbH does not claim ownership of any third-party scoring methodologies or calculation models.
Data shared with ISL is limited to anonymized assessment responses and company metadata (hashed identifiers, numeric country and sector codes, size category). No personally identifiable information is transmitted. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Service
Provider: OpenStreetMap Foundation, Geocoding Service
The platform integrates Nominatim, a free and open-source geocoding service maintained by the OpenStreetMap Foundation, to convert facility addresses into geographic coordinates (latitude, longitude). Nominatim is the primary geocoding provider for the platform, used to establish the geographic footprint of warehouses, distribution centers, suppliers, and customers in the supply chain network.
Nominatim supports both structured queries (street, city, country, postal code) and freeform address strings, with fallback logic between the two query modes to maximize match success. Particularly effective for European addresses including Eastern Europe where street-level precision is often available. The service returns coordinates with associated address details for verification and map visualization.
Integration: When a facility address is entered, Nominatim is queried first (no API key required, unlimited requests). If Nominatim returns insufficient precision, the platform automatically falls back to HERE Geocoding (paid, higher-precision alternative) to ensure house-number or street-level accuracy for logistics planning.
Nominatim data is provided under the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL). GreenTwin GmbH does not claim ownership of Nominatim services, geographic data, or OpenStreetMap contributions, and uses the service in compliance with ODbL attribution and commercial use terms.

Provider: Groq, Inc.
Groq provides high-speed AI inference services for the platform, powering generative AI features using the llama-3.3-70b-versatile model (Meta Llama 3.3 70B). User prompts and contextual data necessary for AI-assisted features are transmitted to Groq servers for processing. Groq does not use API input data for model training purposes.
The underlying Llama 3.3 model is developed by Meta Platforms, Inc. and is licensed under the Llama 3.3 Community License Agreement.
