Demonstrator for Supply Chain Resilience
March 2026; Updated: July 2026
This demonstrator is an advanced AI-powered assessment tool designed to analyze supply chain resilience by evaluating organizational vulnerabilities and capabilities. Powered by a partner's API for resilience score calculation and GenAI cutting-edge language models, this demonstrator provides two top insights into supply chain risks, two recommendations for mitigation, and two strategic guidelines on building a more resilient and adaptable supply chain. It delivers comprehensive resilience scoring, vulnerability analysis, and capability assessment tailored to an organizational specific operational context.
How It Works
The demonstrator guides users through a structured assessment process to evaluate supply chain resilience. Users begin by entering basic company information (company name, country, size, sector, and type), then rate their organization's vulnerabilities (risks) and capabilities (strengths) across multiple parameters (65 optional parameters in total). The API calculates the resilience score, and AI analyzes the assessment data and a score, and generates detailed insights and recommendations. The entire process is interactive and designed to help organizations understand their supply chain risk profile and develop strategic resilience improvements.
Key Features
A. Company Profile Section
The assessment begins with collecting minimum company information:
- Company Name – Identifies your organization
- Industry Sector – Select your primary industry (Manufacturing, Energy, Chemical, etc.)
- Company Size – Indicate number of employees (Small, Medium, Large, Enterprise)
- Country – Specify your organization's primary location
- Company Type – Categorize as Traditional, Tech-Savvy, or Manufacturing-Focused
This profile information provides essential context for both the API and AI analysis, and helps tailor recommendations specific to organization's characteristics and operating environment.
B. Vulnerability and Capability Assessment
The core of this demonstrator is the interactive assessment, organized into two complementary sections:
1. Vulnerabilities (Supply Chain Risks)
Rate your organization's exposure to various supply chain risks and vulnerabilities:
- Rating Scale: 1 (Very Low Risk) to 7 (Critical Risk)
- Parameters Include: Supplier diversification, geopolitical exposure, transportation reliability, inventory management, quality control, demand volatility, and regulatory compliance
- Optional Assessment: All parameters are optional – rate only those relevant to your supply chain
- Default Handling: Parameters left unassessed default to a rating of 1 (Very Low Risk)
The vulnerability section helps identify specific areas of supply chain risk that require mitigation strategies or contingency planning. Providing more detailed ratings allows the demonstrator to generate more nuanced insights and targeted recommendations for improving resilience.
2. Capabilities (Resilience Strengths)
Assess your organization's capabilities to withstand and recover from supply chain disruptions:
- Rating Scale: 1 (Not Very Capable) to 7 (Super Capable)
- Parameters Include: Crisis management, supply chain visibility, alternative sourcing capabilities, resource flexibility, stakeholder collaboration, technology adoption, and adaptive capacity
- Optional Assessment: All parameters are optional – focus on areas most relevant to your operations
- Default Handling: Unassessed parameters default to 1 (Not Very Capable)
The capabilities section identifies your organization's strengths and preparedness to manage supply chain challenges effectively. Providing more detailed capability ratings allows the demonstrator to generate more precise insights into how organization's strengths can be leveraged to mitigate identified vulnerabilities and improve overall resilience.
C. API Resilience Score Calculation
After completing the vulnerability and capability assessments, users can submit their ratings to trigger the resilience score calculation via the partner's API. The API processes the input data and generates a comprehensive resilience score.
- Resilience Score – An overall 0-100 score representing your organization's supply chain resilience level
This API calculates a resilience score that reflects your organization's unique risk profile and preparedness level. The score serves as a benchmark for understanding your current resilience status and identifying areas for improvement.
D. AI-Powered Resilience Analysis and Insights
In parallel with resilience score calculation, this demonstrator automatically delivers comprehensive AI-generated insights:
- Resilience Score Summary – Detailed breakdown of your overall resilience score with contextual interpretation
- Critical Vulnerabilities – Detailed breakdown of your supply chain risks with contextual interpretation
- Existing Strengths (Capability Assessment) – Evaluation of your organizational strengths and readiness to handle disruptions
- Two Key Recommendations – AI-generated, context-aware recommendations for improving resilience
The AI analysis considers your company profile (type, size, sector, location) to provide tailored insights and recommendations specific to your organizational context.
E. Export and Reporting
This demonstrator provides multiple export options for sharing and documentation:
- PDF Export – Professional report format including all assessment data and scores
- JSON Export – Structured data format for integration with other systems or further data analysis
All exported data remains on your device – no assessment data is stored on ResC4EU servers when using the public demonstration mode.
F. AI Ethics Assessment and Trustworthiness Evaluation
To ensure the reliability and trustworthiness of AI-generated insights, this demonstrator includes an integrated AI Ethics Assessment framework. This evaluation helps validate that the AI analysis meets rigorous standards for responsible and trustworthy AI, aligned with EU AI governance principles.
What is the Ethics Assessment?
The AI Ethics Assessment is a structured evaluation tool that assesses the AI-generated resilience analysis across five critical dimensions of trustworthy AI. Users provide feedback on how well the AI-generated recommendations meet standards for transparency, accuracy, fairness, alignment with their organizational context, and privacy. This feedback contributes to ALTAI (Assessment List for Trustworthy AI) compliance monitoring.
Five Critical Dimensions of Trustworthy AI
- Transparency & Explainability: Evaluates whether the AI clearly explains the reasoning behind its recommendations, data factors that influenced the results, and how the assessment findings connect to supply chain resilience
- Accuracy & Reliability: Assesses whether the AI analysis appears factually accurate, findings are based on relevant data and parameters, and recommendations align with industry best practices for supply chain resilience
- Fairness & Non-Discrimination: Evaluates whether the AI provides balanced analysis without bias toward particular company types or sectors, treats all assessment inputs fairly regardless of company size or geography, and recommendations are equitable across different organizational contexts
- Human Autonomy & Control: Assesses whether the AI respects human decision-making and organizational context, provides recommendations that users can understand and modify, and empowers users to make informed choices based on AI insights
- Privacy & Responsibility: Evaluates whether the AI assessment is conducted in a way that respects user privacy, does not store or misuse assessment data, and provides clear information about how data is handled and used in the analysis.
Supported Languages
The Ethics Assessment is available in multiple languages to support international users and ensure clarity:
- English (EN)
- Deutsch (DE)
- Español (ES)
- Latviešu (LV)
- Polski (PL)
- Italiano (IT)
- Français (FR)
ALTAI Compliance & Continuous Improvement
The Ethics Assessment is aligned with the EU AI High-Level Expert Group's Assessment List for Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence (ALTAI). User feedback on these five critical dimensions helps ResC4EU monitor compliance with AI governance principles and continuously improve the demonstrator's AI engine. All feedback is handled confidentially and contributes to making AI-powered supply chain resilience assessment more transparent, fair, and reliable for all users.
